A film still style project, exploring the narrative of a stalker and their victim.
Black Britain
This blog is dedicated to work I am making around the Black British experience. I will be interviewing Black people around Britain and sharing their thoughts and experiences within the country. This will include racism, "brexit" and childhood memories.
INTERNAL WARZONE
Mental health issues are common and 1 in 4 people in the UK experience them each year, so why is there still such a stigma around Mental health? Invisible illnesses, as the name suggests, cannot be seen and are therefore harder to empathise with and understand, however, this does not make them less real than any physical illness. Those with invisible illnesses can appear calm and together on the outside despite the internal war happening inside the mind. Being open about these experiences is hard for those going through them but it can also be rewarding.
I have explored my personal experience with depression and anxiety using the moving and still image and sound. I hope the work will offer comfort to those also battling with mental health issues as well as raising awareness of these issues and opening up a dialog.
